5. Configuring Batches

Once you have added all the courses, its time to create all the different Batches of your institute. Batches are the building blocks in organizing and grouping students, teachers, subjects taught all together, so here we will look into these aspects. To configure batches click on the Batches option in the side menu.

Add New Batch

The first sub-menu option you will find in under the Batches menu option is the Batches List. This is where you can find list of all the batches created for your institute. Since, we are just beginning, it will be empty. Lets go ahead and add first batch for the institute. To add new batch:

  1. Just press the "+" button at the bottom right corner of your screen.

2. Add Batch Name, all batch names should be unique and distinct. 3. Add a Batch Starting Date for the batch, using this EduCoach can keep track of attendance percentage of any given student in a given batch. 4. Select Course from the dropdown for the batch. 5. Once course is selected, all the subjects are automatically added.

6. Assign Subject Teacher for all the subjects from the drop-down, who will be teaching that subject in the batch. 7. Once done, press the Save button to save the batch details.

Creating batch is that simple, and you created the first batch for your institute. Next we will add Batch Time Table

Configure Batch Time Table

Now since we have the batch created, its time to create Batch Time Table which will help parents, students know the scheduled periods on a particular day. To add Batch Time table, you need to go to second sub-menu option under the Batches menu option, there you will find Batches Time Table sub-menu option.

  1. Once you are in the Batch Time Table screen, you will need to select the Batch for which you want to configure the Time Table.

  2. To add new Batch Time Table, just click Add Timetable button. You will be presented with all the days of the week.

  3. We have added first period by default for all the days of the week, you can add more periods in that day by clicking on the "+" button in the same day's section.

  4. For every period, select the Subject, select the Subject Teacher, the Start Time and End Time for the period.

  5. Add all the Subjects for the particular day of the week for the selected batch.

  6. Once you have added the time table for all the days, press the Save Timetable button.

Great! You just added Batch Time Table for your first batch. You can add Batch Time Tables for all the batches similarly one by one.

Ensure you have added all the batches and their time tables before we proceed to adding Students for your institute.
